BTG is proud to announce the inaugural launch of our National Small Business Leadership Summit. This unique and timely event comprises three half-day virtual sessions for small businesses, consultants, contractors, industry partners, and government, with BTG standing at the hub as a connector, an expert, and a valuable knowledge base.
Scheduled speakers included former U.S. Secretary of Transportation Rodney Slater, Federal Aviation Administration Deputy Administrator A. Bradley Mims, and Virginia Department of Transportation Civil Rights Administrator Sandra D. Norman. Attendees can expect an engaging virtual series highlighting innovative topics with top-notch speakers committed to advancing collaboration and diversity.
The Summit will also feature sponsors and supporters who can provide resources and support to the DBE community. “We are convening the best and brightest to produce the best in industry solutions,” BTG President & CEO Joe Lewis said.
The event will take place October 5 – 7, 2021, in 3 half-day sessions. Each session will get a kick-start from BTG’s Data Analytics Team. This data includes over 1,000 DBE/ACDBE assessments and tens of thousands of certifications from across the nation. It will be presented to stage up each topic and energize the discussion over the three days.
Day 1: Emerging Industries, Innovations, and Procurement Models: Diving into the future of infrastructure, Autonomous Vehicles, and Infrastructure change. This session will look at what states are doing with E-Construction, Advanced Procurement Methods, and its impact on Small Businesses.
Day 2: Planes, Trains & Automobiles: Highlighting major projects across the three modes of transportation and their infrastructure. Come ready to hear about the upcoming projects expected over the next five years in aviation, transit, and highway.
Day 3: The Greenwood Project: Debuting BTG’s National DBE/ACDBE data research to identify opportunities and understand industry gaps helping DBEs expand their business. This day is an opportunity to understand where small businesses are, interpret their performance capabilities, and create an ongoing Small Business Eco-System to maximize the potential for growth under the new infrastructure plan.
