Project Name/Loc: US 17 / Main Road Interchange & Widening – Segment A (Project ID: 5732-22C-F); Charleston County, SC
Project Description: Design-Build | New fully directional interchange near the current intersection of US17 and Main Road. Widening of Main Road between Bees Ferry Road and just south of the River Road/Chisolm Road intersection. Extension of the West Ashley Greenway from its current terminus through the project from Bees Ferry Road to the River Road/Chisolm Road Intersection along with a Pedestrian Bridge across the Stono River.
Project Duration: Approximately 3.5 Years after an anticipated 8/1/24 Notice to Proceed (NTP).
Bid Dates: Bid Submission – Tuesday, June 25, 2024 | Bid Opening – Friday, June 28, 2024
M/W/DBEs & SBEs: 25% M/W/DBE Goal & 12.2% SBE Goal. Participation by certified MBEs, WBEs, DBEs, and SBEs, as well as HUBZone, Veteran, and Disabled Business Firms, is strongly encouraged. To encourage participation, the scope of work may be divided into economically viable segments. Additional information is available upon request regarding bonds, insurance, cash flow, retainage, schedule, equipment requirements, materials, construction access, means/methods, etc.
