Lane Construction Seeking Quotes for a Runway Project at Chicago O'Hare Airport and a Pavement Replacement/Concrete Repair Project for NC Department of Transportation

The Lane Construction Company requests quotes from DBE firms certified in the states of Illinois and North Carolina. During February 2017, Lane Construction will bid on the Chicago O’Hare International Airport Runway 9C-27C project and the NC Department of Transportation Forsyth County I-40 Pavement Replacement and Concrete Paving project. DBE Goal 30%: All Illinois DBEs are encouraged to participate on this project. Lane Construction is willing to break out parts of this contract’s work items into economically feasible units to facilitate DBE subcontractor participation. Plans and specifications will be available for viewing on our FTP site, in our office and on ISqFt. Lane Construction is willing to negotiate in good faith with interested DBE subcontractors, and Lane will not reject DBE, as being unqualified without sound reasons based on a thorough investigation of their abilities. Lane is willing to pay on a quick pay basis upon the number of units for the week, per the schedule of values that the sub performs. Lane Construction will work with DBEs on issues related to bonding, insurance, lines of credit, as well as in obtaining equipment, supplies, materials or related assistance or services.

Description: The Design-Build Project consists of replacing the portions of the existing pavement with concrete along I-40 from approximately 2000 feet west of the US 52 overpass to approximately 3125 feet east of the US 52 overpass in Winston-Salem including loops and ramps at the US 52 interchange. The Design-Build Team shall replace areas of concrete slab repairs.
